Kentish+

The client

Kentish Lifelong Learning and Care Inc. (Kentish) is a Northern Territory-based organisation committed to providing quality child care services and fostering positive outcomes for children, families, and communities. Their philosophy centres around the belief that access to quality child care is a fundamental right for all families. They prioritise collaboration and inclusivity, valuing the input of families, educators, and staff members.

The problem

Covering an expansive geographic region and offering a wide array of services, Kentish faced the challenge of managing a substantial volume of information and compliance documentation. To enhance efficiency, they sought to streamline the organisation of educator, young person, and program information, as well as reporting and checks.

The solution

HutSix built a product for Kentish that was efficient in the collection of data from any location, easy to use and secure. The resulting software allows for site visits to be assigned to specific staff or contractors allowing for quick follow up on previous work. Kentish+ is used to manage staff and premises certifications, case management, excursion permissions, monthly home visit reports and home safety assessments as well as other compliance requirements.

The results

The resulting software serves as a centralised platform for managing various aspects of Kentish’s operations, simplifying administrative processes and providing oversight for management staff.

With the ability to collect data from any location, the streamlining of administrative tasks has reduced manual effort and saved time for staff. The software's user-friendly interface makes it easy for staff to navigate and utilise its features effectively. This simplicity increases adoption rates and minimises training time, ensuring that employees can quickly integrate the new system into their workflows. This efficiency has allowed the organisation to focus more resources on delivering quality services to children and families.

Furthermore, by assigning site visits to specific staff or contractors, the software promotes accountability and ensures that tasks are promptly addressed. These notifications are present within the app itself, and complemented with email notifications to the staff members who need to update their information, and the corresponding manager. This feature facilitates continuous improvement to service delivery, reduces delays and ensures compliance with the appropriate regulatory bodies.

The reports generated by the software offer valuable insights into program performance, compliance status, and areas for improvement, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Kentish+ empowers Kentish Lifelong Learning and Care Inc. to operate more efficiently, securely, and effectively, ultimately enhancing the quality of services provided to internal and external stakeholders.
