Why are we called HutSix?

H6, Hut Six, was the home of the world’s first computer, the computer that cracked the code and won the second World War.

Technology and a team of brilliant thinkers saved countless lives and moved the world forward in how it understood what machines were able to do for them.


We take inspiration from the change makers, explorers of ideas and those who never gave up the fight to make the world a better place. 


What do we do?

We create custom software to manage data entry for regional Australian projects when Microsoft Excel just won’t cut it anymore. These systems are custom made to the specific requirements of our clients, and are able to manage all of the data entry and reporting for their needs. We conduct all of the scope development, project management and software development in house, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service. 

We’re a software agency, so C.R.E.A.M in regards to billable hours and budgets. All of our systems are owned by our clients, but we manage our own boilerplates. We don’t build our own SaaS products ourselves, but commonly utilise API’s to connect our systems to SaaS products that suit our clients needs. 


We are code-breakers, innovators and game-changers.

We care about people and we wanna change the world. At the root of it all, we’re software engineers and technological problem solvers.


More than that, we see technology and the online world as the solution to a huge range of problems – both social and commercial.

Coming from regional Australia, we understand what regional Australians often miss out on – and we want to change that.

Technology, paired with a shift in workplace culture globally, has meant that people and businesses are no longer bound by location and because of that, so much more can be achieved.

  • Wanky consulting – charging you six figures for a report that says you should stop paying consultants 
  • Hardware – buy it, fix it, care about it
  • Make software that makes things harder
  • Work with unaligned clients (clients that are; disorganised, put profit over people, or here and now focused with no vision for the future)

Where are we?

Adelaide

We have an office in the Tech Central building at Lot Fourteen. This is a significant milestone for us as we continue to grow and expand our reach across South Australia.

Alice Springs

Our birthplace - it’s a good mix of country and city, has one of everything, plus the boss lives here. 

Remote

As a remote-first workplace, we have a few team members who ditched their city commute and work for us from home.
